In the spirit of the holiday season, Shattuck-St. Mary’s students spearheaded an effort to raise more than $2,700 for the Hope Center of Faribault, a non-profit agency that supports women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
Through a series of jeans days, chuck-a-puck events at SSM hockey games, and generous donations, students zoomed past last year’s fundraising total, as well as their adjusted goal of $2,000.
The final total was announced at Christmas Dinner on Thursday, December 14 and all funds were used to purchase Christmas gifts and gift cards for Faribault-area families. In addition to their fundraising efforts, students also picked out, wrapped, and delivered gifts to the Hope Center.
Congratulations to all of our students who led this impactful initiative that is sure to brighten the holidays for several area families.
