SSM Alumni Association

Stay in touch with SSM and help us keep in touch with you.

The Shattuck-St. Mary’s Alumni Association has no formal membership dues or initiation. Any person who has attended SSM (or one of its predecessors) is a member. Each member receives the Through the Arch magazine as well as invitations to regional gatherings, campus events and, of course, Reunion. The goal is to keep you in touch with our alma mater and to keep us in touch with you.

The Alumni Association Board

The Alumni Association Board oversees all alumni-related activities of the School and helps to plan and implement Reunion. The mission of the group is to represent the SSM alumni, communicate concerns to the administration of the School, and support school and alumni programs.

Class Agents

Class Agents are alumni volunteers who cultivate relationships with classmates and encourage them to reconnect with the School through meaningful forms of engagement.

Class Agents work with the Alumni Office to:

• Communicate on a regular basis with classmates; either via letter, e-mail, or social networking Web sites.
• Reach out to classmates to collect e-mail addresses and updated contact information.
• Locate “lost” members of their class.
• Collect news for the Class Notes section of Through the Arch magazine. This includes marriages, births, class members’ achievements and honors earned.  
• Keep classmates up-to-date on SSM events and news.
• Encourage and increase participation in alumni activities, such as regional alumni events and the All-School Reunion.
• Brainstorm additional ways to keep your class connected (i.e. create newsletters for their classes, create class Facebook pages, collect photos for an online slideshow, etc.).
• Serve as a member of the reunion planning committee in your reunion year.
• Promote class participation in annual giving and reunion class giving.
